Tess Ayano grew up in Japan and she is currently based between New York, Europe, and Tokyo. Inspired by the transitory nature of life, deeply rooted in Japanese culture and philosophy, she tenderly aims to create intimate vignettes from quiet ordinary moments.

日本人の母親とアメリカ人の父親の間に生まれ、幼少期を東京で過ごし14歳で渡米。現在はニューヨーク・ヨーロッパ・東京を拠点に写真家、映像監督として活動中。被写体は、ポートレート、ファッション、ドキュメンタリーなど多岐にわたり、人間らしさを感じるふとした一瞬を繊細で嘘のない優しさで写し出すことを得意とする。
